Andres Reynaldo believes that Milanes is the movement of the New Trova. Although Reynaldo does not really understand Milanes thoughts, but has a very distinct opinion on the dictatorship. There really is no reason to live if at the end of the day there is no good. Puerto Rico and Cuba are good for each other, they are far but walk hand in hand. They can work together and make things happen. The poetic voice of the poem is a protective friend or sibling like feeling. The theme of pecado original is love and secrecy. The original sin is for the two men to be together although they do not think it is a sin.
